Cleaning service in Munich for English speakers

Munich has the largest share of international residents of any German city — BMW, Siemens, Allianz, Google, Apple, Microsoft, MTU and Infineon all hire from abroad. Booking a cleaner should not be the part of the move that requires German.

Everything in English

The booking flow, the confirmation, the invoice and our support all work in English. You do not need to call anyone, and you do not need to explain your address over the phone in a language you are still learning.

The cleaner who comes may not speak fluent English, which almost never matters: everything you want done is written into the order, and you can add notes in English when you book.

What it costs

A fixed price, visible before you book: 85 € for a studio, 107 € for a two-room flat, 129 € for three rooms. No hourly billing, no recalculation afterwards. Extras have their own fixed prices — oven 15 €, windows 15 € per sash, fridge 15 €, balcony 15 €. The full list is on the prices page.

Claim 20 % back on your tax return

Germany lets you deduct household-related services: 20 per cent of the labour cost comes straight off your tax bill, up to 4,000 euros a year. Two conditions matter — you need an invoice, and you must not pay cash. Both are automatic with us, which is the practical reason not to hire someone informally.

If you are filing a German return for the first time, this is one of the simplest deductions there is: the invoice goes in as Haushaltsnahe Dienstleistungen, and the amount is already separated out for you.

Moving in and moving out

Deposits in Munich run to three months of cold rent — often four to six thousand euros — and landlords inspect carefully at handover. If you are leaving a flat, the move-out cleaning is what gets it back; if your contract only says besenrein, the smaller broom-clean handover is enough and cheaper.

Moving in is the easiest time for a deep clean: the flat is empty, cabinets and window rebates are reachable, and nothing has to be moved around.

Munich water is hard

Tap water here runs 13.9 to 17.9 °dH, which is the hard end of the German scale. Limescale comes back on shower screens, taps and kettles faster than you will expect if you moved from a soft-water country. That is the single most common surprise for new arrivals, and the reason regular appointments pay off more here than elsewhere.

Old buildings and their windows

Flats in Maxvorstadt, Schwabing, Haidhausen and Neuhausen usually have box-type double windows: two separate window layers, four glass surfaces instead of two. They are counted as two windows, which explains why a quote for an old flat differs from one for a new build. Details on window cleaning.

What is included and what is not

Included as standard: kitchen, bathroom, living and sleeping areas, hallway, all floors, dusting, mirrors and glass, bins out. The cleaner brings the products, cloths, brushes and mop; from the flat come a working vacuum cleaner and bin bags in your sizes.

Not included unless you add them: oven interior, fridge interior, inside of cabinets, windows, balcony and ironing. Also excluded for safety reasons: moving heavy furniture, hanging curtains, chandeliers and anything needing a ladder taller than two steps.

Where we work

The whole city and the surrounding towns — Grünwald, Pullach, Unterschleißheim, Gräfelfing. Whether your address is covered shows immediately when you book.

Regular or one-off

A one-off appointment is the way to try it. If you want it kept up, a recurring slot starts at 50 € per visit and usually keeps the same cleaner, which means no re-explaining each time.

Cancel or reschedule free of charge up to 24 hours before. Questions about the process are answered on the contact page.
